A Huge Amount of Money Protects Us from the Elements

Work has finally begun on our beloved roof. Our quest for roofing quotes started last summer, we gathered enough quotes that we could have probably re-roofed the house will them. Honestly, we needed the past year and half to digest the idea that we had to spend the most amount of money we have ever spent on the house since we bought it. Something about spending that amount of money and have our house look exactly the same... is a pitter pill to swallow. When people come over we can proudly show our new roof "We chose the charcol colour to match the dark accents on the rest of the house, now the roof accents the pergola, which contrasts the lighter colour on the fence". HUH?

Funny thing is I have no idea of the roof colour and how it is going. I leave for work in the dark and return home in the dark.

I won't have a chance to see it until Saturday and believe me I will be beeming with poor home-owner pride when I do.

Free Hemming Wasn't Such a Good Deal Afterall

I never thought yesterday would have ended up as it did, nor did I wake up yesterday and question how I thought my day would end. I just thought my day would enfold as follows:
-get up at the crack of dawn & drive to work in the pooring rain
-drive home in the pooring rain
-go to Oakridge Mall and take my Lululemon pants in to be hemmed
-Maybe find a fabulous outfit for Chris & Rebecca's wedding this weekend
Oh wait before I end the list of stuff that I expected let me add..
-GET PULLED OVER FOR DRIVING AN UNINSURED VEHICLE! Yes I have been driving my Jeep to and fro friggin' everywhere uninsured for the last 4 months.
Oh wait let me add this to the list too
-GET TICKET FOR $598 dollars and pay for not one but two tows totalling $140.

On the bright side my pants should be ready before I head off to Seattle next weekend.

Whole Lotta Woman...

Halloween 2005...remember just because you are dressed up as a very large ballerina doesn't mean you can drink enough alcohol to get a very large ballerina drunk.

Help she had has fallen over and can't get up, quick bring peanut butter and bread!

I was Foxy but it seems there was a whole lotta women in Todd that night.
